When we first opened the doors to Q29 Productions, we knew we wanted to create more than just a studio. We wanted to build a space where ideas could come alive—a place where stories, voices, and visuals collided to make something unforgettable.
And in 2024, we took that mission to the next level.
That’s when we decided to do something that had never been done in our region before: host the very first live podcast event in the Hudson Valley.

Why We Did It
There's something about the intangible energy on stage in front of an audience. A podcast in the studio is great—but a podcast in front of a live audience? That’s a whole different electricity. You get the crowd’s reactions, the networking, the raw energy… and you turn what’s normally a two-way conversation into a shared experience.
For creators, it’s a chance to put their powers to the test. For brands, it’s a way to turn content into community. And for us at Q29, it was a way to push the limits of what our team, highest level clients, and local creative community could do together if we cracked the code on our secrets of success.
How We Filled The Seats
We redefined event promotions by getting the community involved. Take a look at the Instagram commercial that changed how people promote events in the Hudson Valley. The creative perspective details one fluid conversation being had all across Poughkeepsie, amongst different community members, event speakers and special guests. This video below is one of several promos for the event, including a special shoutout from Daymond John himself.
How We Pulled It Off
We brought in professional lighting, stage audio, and a production crew that could run both the in-room experience and capture broadcast-quality video for later distribution.
It wasn’t just about the tech, though—it was about the people. We worked with incredible local entrepreneurs, creators, and special guests, and made sure every detail—from the seating arrangement to the final reel edit—was designed for maximum impact.
Go Behind the Scenes
Here’s the part I’m most excited to share: we documented the entire process leading up the event. From concepts to stage setups, from sound checks to that first burst of applause, it’s all in this short behind-the-scenes video.
What’s Next
That night proved something important—there’s a hunger for in-person, creator-driven experiences in the Hudson Valley. And we’re already planning the next one.
